Orbit is where the company trusts its stock and its fulfilment: what arrived, where it sits, and what was picked, packed, shipped, or returned. The rest of the business works from that warehouse record.

Why this is not a module of SAP, NetSuite, or Dynamics
Warehouse management in those suites is a module of the financial company. Stock is kept so it can be valued and posted, and the floor works inside a finance system to do it. Orbit is the record the warehouse works from: what arrived, who it belongs to, where it sits, and what was picked, packed, or shipped. A logistics client has their own book. Finance takes the result. It does not tell the floor how to pick.
What the business runs here
- Stock by location, batch, and serial, issued by expiry, age, or which delivery came in first
- Deliveries booked in, checked, and put away
- Picking released to the floor, then packing and carrier labels
- Stock counts, replenishment when a pick face runs low, returns, goods that move straight through, and transfers between warehouses
- The yard, bonded stock, customs holds, and a separate book for each logistics client
- Floor tasks on the staff companion app, including work that continues without a connection
How it works with the rest of the company
People stay in Crew, reports stay in Beacon, and the ledger stays in Atlas. A receipt, a pick, or a shipment is recorded once in Orbit and the other products use that record.
