The staff companion app puts the products in a person's hand. It is how staff do the work. It is not a separate business.
Who it is for. Warehouse workers, store associates, employees, managers, and shop-floor operators on phones and tablets
Why this is not a module of SAP, NetSuite, or Dynamics
The mobile app for those suites is a small version of the back-office screen, so the picker, the store associate, and the supervisor are guests in a system built for finance. The staff companion is how that work is done, on a phone or tablet, including when the site has no connection. It is not the cashier till, and it is not its own business.
What the business runs here
- Warehouse work: tasks, picking and putaway, stock lookup, receiving, and the yard
- Store-associate work: buy online and collect in store, clienteling, stock adjustments, and store tasks. Not the cashier till
- Time, schedules, payslips, and the actions a manager takes for their team
- Work instructions and quality checks, spend approvals, and operational figures
- The same company sign-in as the back office, including work that has to continue offline
How it works with the rest of the company
Staff sign in once, the same way they do in Atrium. Cashiers use a separate companion app on the till.
