Administration for a company, and for the platform
Keystone
Keystone is the administration service for both editions. In SaaS, a company manages only the companies in its own group. In the self-hosted enterprise edition, the company's own administrators run the environment. Nothing else starts until the company, its people, and its products are in place.
Who it is for. The platform super-admin, SaaS administrators of a company group, and the administrators of a self-hosted enterprise environment
Why this is not a module of SAP, NetSuite, or Dynamics
In those suites, setting up a company is part of implementing finance. Keystone is administration on its own. On SaaS, a customer sees only the companies in its group. On the self-hosted enterprise edition, the company's administrators govern their own environment. Neither edition makes the warehouse or the store a module of the ledger.
What the business runs here
- SaaS: the platform super-admin runs the hosted platform. A company administers only the companies in its own group
- Self-hosted enterprise: the company's administrators operate Keystone in their own environment
- Who may sign in to each of those companies, and which products they may open
- Single sign-on, directory sync, and invitations
- Packages and usage for commercial terms. This site does not publish a price list
How it works with the rest of the company
Customers do their daily work in the other products, not in Keystone. Settings are held in Meridian and changed through Atrium and Keystone. Orbit, Pulse, and the rest do not each invent their own company.
